Glasgow and Highlands

Official Day 1:

Our day started with a brisk 1.6 mile walk to our tour location pick up. What a way to start off our morning. Definitely picked the right shoes for the trip.

Styling in our new found clothes we were set to SEIZE THE DAY!

Our first stop led us to Loch Lamond where we were able to walk around and learn about the many islands around the Loch. According to our guide Gary, Loch Lamond is the largest inland stretch of water in Great Britain.

Next we headed to the Jacobite Steam train. It was clear to see how and why J.K. Rowling was inspired by the beautiful landscape all around. Seeing the colors of the train, maroon, black and yellow, leads us to believe they were the inspiration for the train scenes in her stories.

Taking photos through the train window did not do the country side justice. It's an unforgettable experience if ever you get an opportunity to see it first hand.

We found a friend along the way!! Can you "spot" him by the window? He will be joining us on our magical adventure as we experience all things Harry Potter.
